Pre-orders of “Lost Odyssey” begin at U.S. retailers, offering exclusive additional in-game content

The quest for truth and morality begins Feb. 12 when “Lost Odyssey” launches in the U.S. To help gamers prepare for their journey, Microsoft today announced that pre-orders for the highly anticipated title have begun, offering bonus unlockable content only available only through the pre-order program. Fans can now purchase “Lost Odyssey” pre-order cards at participating retailers.

As a special offer attached only to pre-orders, each purchase includes a download code for an additional mission and unlockable weapon. Pre-order cards will include this code, redeemable on Xbox LIVE Marketplace after the game releases. The download will be available to the general public later this spring, but the “Lost Odyssey” pre-order program is the only way to unlock this extra content on day one.

Additionally, Dec. 6 marked the game’s Japan launch to great fanfare and critical acclaim. Esteemed Japanese gaming outlet Famitsu awarded the title a review score of 37 out of 40, as RPG fans lined up outside retailers to purchase the next creation from the minds that brought “Blue Dragon” and “Final Fantasy” to life.

From famed game designer Hironobu Sakaguchi of Mistwalker game studio and feelPlus Inc., and exclusively for the Xbox 360, “Lost Odyssey” is a next-gen RPG that takes gamers through multiple lifetimes in search of truth and justice. It is the story of Kaim, an immortal character who has lived more than 1,000 years and doesn’t remember his past and doesn’t know where his future lies.
